Is this thing still on?

It has been a busy couple of weeks. We are running head strong into the world of kindergarten. I am exhausted with the new schedule. Not since I was in high school did I have to be anywhere at 7:45 am on a regular basis. I have started taking my frappuccinos by IV in order to make it happen. Since I have made that statement I guess I should go ahead confess that the dieting is not as great since school began. I guess I can't really say that it was successful before school. I was religious with my calorie counting and ban against sugar for 7 days. That is one week for the math whizzes out there. But I am feeling it this week. I think I can start again. I will keep the World of Blog posted on my progress should there be any.

I am happy to report that the half marathon training has been a little better than the dieting. I am trying to keep up a schedule of a 30 - 40 min run every other day with one long run on the weekends. That worked well for me last year. I am 13 or 14 weeks away from race day and I really need to kick it into high gear if I am going to improve on my time from the last race. Fundraising has been great. I am amazed at people's willingness to sponsor me and support St. Jude. It really is such a great hospital so I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the support, but as you guys know I am a born pessimist. Way to restore my faith in humanity friends! So as of right now we have raised $350 of the $500 I have pledged before race day! If some of you bloggy folks are feeling generous and want to help me reach the goal you can click on this link to make a donation for the kids of St. Jude!

Kindergarten and marathon training have left little time for remodeling. There is so much to do in our new house. In the first 2 months of calling this home the most progress we have made has been to draft our very long to-do list. I have been a little lazy and slow when it comes to painting (which is the closest thing to using my degree as I get to these days). I have ALMOST finished the master bed and bath and then I will be able to move on to the other 8 or 9 rooms that need painting. Super fun.
